What You Will Learn

What you can expect to know and be able to do at the end of this course

  • Communicate the Biblical meta-narrative in a contemporary ministry context evaluating its implications for the individuals and/or group/s within that context

  • Communicate the Biblical meta-narrative in accordance with an analysis of the communication preferences of the context

  • Use the Biblical meta-narrative to apply a passage of scripture to a contemporary ministry context assessing ways in which the passage’s position in the Biblical meta-narrative affects its correct interpretation

  • Evaluate ways in which a passage contributes to the Biblical meta-narrative through the investigation of its key themes, events, characters and narrative structures

Requirements

  • Passion for understanding the overarching story of the Scriptures

  • Be able to appreciate the richness and practical insights from themes found in the Scriptures

  • Be aware that this course is a foundational course. It is suitable for people who want to build a strong foundation for the development of their understanding of the Bible.

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (Biblical Studies), Matthew assumed Vocational Education Course Supervisor role with Harvest Bible College. Matthew has continued his studies completing Graduate Diploma in Arts, Classical Studies and Archaeology.
