What You Will Learn

What you can expect to know and be able to do at the end of this course

  • How to utilise the basic principles of intercultural ministry from a biblical, historical, cultural and strategic perspective.

  • How to analyse biblical and practical issues in world mission.

  • How to understand the place of cultural-awareness in communicating the Christian faith.

  • Identify contemporary mission strategies and discuss how to apply these to their own context and ministry.

Requirements

  • A desire to be prepared for ministry in a multicultural setting or a cross cultural setting.

  • A kingdom of God mindset in spreading the gospel.

  • Passion for understanding the history and the background of modern days missions.

  • This course is taught at a first year bachelors degree level.

Instructor(s)

Dr. Ian Grant

Ian is an experienced Vice-President Emeritus with a demonstrated history of executive leadership, curriculum development, postgraduate teaching and accreditation, in theological education and ministry training in Australian and international contexts, including in the e-learning industry. He is skilled in Lecturing, Coaching, Managing Teams, Conflict Resolution. Ian holds a PhD focused in cultural intelligence, anthropology, contextualised leadership, cultural and religious change, intercultural communication and Majority World Christianity from Monash University.
