What You Will Learn

What you can expect to know and be able to do at the end of this course

  • Articulate a vision and construct a strategy for planting a new church in a specific context;

  • Describe Biblical perspectives and personal understandings of the church, church planting and church development;

  • Investigate the demographic features of a potential church planting location or context;

  • Discuss different models and concepts of church planting, health, development and church planting movements;

  • Describe the personal and team qualities and skills and competencies needed for successful church planting and/or development.

Requirements

  • The person should be a Church Planter, on a Church Planting team or considering Church Planting.

  • A desire to see the kingdom of God expanded globally via the planting of churches.

  • This course is deliver at a higher degree level.

Instructor(s)

Dr. Ian Grant

Ian is an experienced Vice-President Emeritus with a demonstrated history of executive leadership, curriculum development, postgraduate teaching and accreditation, in theological education and ministry training in Australian and international contexts, including in the e-learning industry. He is skilled in Lecturing, Coaching, Managing Teams, Conflict Resolution. Ian holds a PhD focused in cultural intelligence, anthropology, contextualised leadership, cultural and religious change, intercultural communication and Majority World Christianity from Monash University.
